Planning Your Consultation in Istanbul
Initial Online Assessment
For international patients, the journey often begins with a free online consultation. This process involves sharing clear photographs and your medical history securely. This initial step allows the surgical team to provide an early assessment of whether you might be a suitable candidate for your desired procedure. It is important to note that an online assessment does not replace a physical examination, which is mandatory before any surgery takes place.
Preparing for Your Trip
If you choose to proceed after the initial assessment, careful planning is essential. Medical tourism requires coordination of travel, accommodation, and clinical appointments. Patients are advised to:
- Plan for an adequate stay (often 7-10 days) to allow for initial recovery and necessary post-operative checks before flying.
- Travel with a companion for support during the early days of recovery.
- Ensure all travel documents and medical records are in order.
Consultation and Final Assessment
Upon arrival in Istanbul, you will have a comprehensive in-person consultation with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ekrem Keskin. During this meeting, your facial anatomy will be thoroughly examined, and your surgical plan will be finalized. This is also a critical time to ask any remaining questions, discuss potential risks, and ensure you are fully comfortable before moving forward.
Aftercare and Returning Home
Before you are cleared to travel home, your team will verify that you are healing as expected. You will receive detailed instructions for long-term care and information on how to contact the clinic if you have any questions after returning home.
